About Litmaps

Generate a visualized literature relationship map through AI based on a sub-literature. The relationship between literature is clear at a glance, and it is arranged according to the publication time (X-axis) and the number of citations (Y-axis), which is very clear. The specific operation is shown in the picture. It can also be linked with Zotero, and the literature can be directly imported into Zotero for reading. Of course, one of its more important issues is that the database update seems not very timely, and it may also be because I am not using the Pro version, so when using it, you should consider that the latest literature may not be included.

Litmaps Official Website:https://app.litmaps.com/

Blank map, you can draw it yourself. That is, after entering the article/keyword/DOI number to be searched, only points appear, and individuals can click on suitable literature to establish associations (you can also select all and make a knowledge association map). Just enter DOI, Pubmed ID, or arXiv ID, keyword, or author name in the search box, and Litmaps will generate a set of recommended articles for you. Select one article (or multiple articles) from the list to create a Litmap, which uses the article you choose as the "seed".

Summary of several popular literature search websites

Personal summary, put it here as a memo 📕

⭐️Common Points:
1️⃣ Both are free to use
2️⃣ Both can search by DOI number, article title, and keywords
3️⃣ Both can see the main information of the literature (title, author, publication year, abstract) and come with a download source (referring to the literature that can be downloaded, you can click the PDF on the page to download it with one click)
4️⃣ Both can judge the relevance strength between a literature and the target searched by elements such as the size of the point, the distance between them, and the thickness of the line

Highlight of each website:
🔶P1 Research rabbit:
Highlight:
Different work folders and literature after collection can be added with notes (note), and the relationship between articles can be switched (time sequence or relevance)
The operation interface is very beautiful, the process is clear, and very concise, which I personally like

🔶P2 Litmaps:
Highlight: Blank map, you can draw it yourself. That is, after entering the article/keyword/DOI number to be searched, only points appear, and individuals can click on suitable literature to establish associations (you can also select all and make a knowledge association map).

🔶 Open knowledge maps:
Highlight: Group the top 100 works related to the queried article according to keywords; you can choose to search in the "life sciences/PubMed" or "basic/general disciplines" database.&Note: Can't find the sign-up place, don't know if it can create folders like other websites
P4 🔶 Connected papers:

Highlight: Part of the website's URL can also be used as a keyword
Note: This website is different from the other three, and there is no "download"/"PDF" option at a glance, you need to click the three dots on the right (above save) to jump by yourself
