This open-source project represents our attempt: we will teach readers concepts, background knowledge, and code; we will articulate critical thinking needed to analyze problems, mathematical knowledge needed to solve them, and engineering skills needed to implement solutions in the same place.

Our goal is to create a unified resource to achieve the following:

• Free and accessible online to everyone;
• Sufficient technical depth to help readers become actual deep learning application scientists: understanding mathematical principles and being able to implement and continuously improve methods;
