As part of Adobe Sensei Generative AI, Firefly represents Adobe's exploration and practice in generative AI technology. Adobe aims to enhance the functionality and ease of use of creative tools with Firefly, helping users to realize their creative ideas more quickly, flexibly, and diversely.

At the same time, Adobe demonstrates a responsible and transparent attitude towards generative AI in Firefly. Firefly uses authorized or publicly licensed datasets to train AI models and allows users to use Firefly-generated content for commercial purposes.

Currently, Firefly is still in the testing phase and requires application to join the beta version to use it. Adobe plans to integrate Firefly into various applications of Creative Cloud and Express in the future, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Express, and Experience Manager, etc. Firefly will also continue to update and improve, releasing more generative AI models for different media types (such as video, 3D) and different creative needs (such as posters, social media, etc.).

Comprehensive List of Features

Image Generation

Firefly's image generation model is a powerful and user-friendly tool designed to help creative individuals and artists quickly generate diverse images. Users simply input the required image description, and they can easily create images with various styles and details. Firefly offers many options, such as color, size, and image style, to customize the generated images.

This feature also provides a convenient way for users to import generated images into other Adobe applications for post-processing. For example, users can combine Firefly-generated images with other layers and elements in Photoshop to create unique artworks.

It is worth mentioning that all datasets used by Firefly are authorized or publicly licensed, meaning users can use and share the generated images with confidence without worrying about copyright or legal issues.

Text Effects

Firefly's text effects model can generate artistic text with different styles and details based on user input text and styles. Enter the desired text content and style in the Firefly panel, such as "Firefly in fiery red" or "Firefly with metallic texture," and then click the "Generate Variations" button to see multiple text effect styles generated by Firefly for selection.

This feature is very suitable for creative individuals who need to quickly create attractive titles, slogans, posters, etc. Users can modify or add text content or styles to change the text effects at any time and regenerate new variations infinitely. Users can also use Firefly-generated text effects as part of other elements or layers in Illustrator and edit or adjust them with other tools.

Firefly's text effects model uses various authorized datasets to train AI models, including Adobe Fonts and publicly licensed font resources. This ensures the quality and diversity of the datasets while avoiding legal risks related to copyright or privacy.
